This is a diary of my holiday in Cornwall. I wanted to share a personal experience of a holiday in Cornwall. All the websites I’ve visited for information on the area are great: full of information and ideas for things to do. But there weren’t any personal stories and this is why I thought I’d share my holiday with you.
The Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall
I’m Claire and this is a diary of my holiday on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall.
The Lizard is a quiet, charming and rural part of the county with fewer tourist attractions than more populated areas – and it’s a really beautiful place to explore.

Why holiday in Cornwall?
Cornwall appeals to me for its spirit of creativity. I’m an artist, a writer and I make my living as a calligrapher and illustrator. I grew up in the Lake District, I’m a country girl at heart – and I love it here in Cornwall because that glorious natural charm runs deep through the countryside.
If you’re planning a holiday in Cornwall I hope you’ll read, smile and maybe be inspired by my little story. I’m sharing a few little tips, places we went and personal experiences of our time in south west Cornwall.
Enjoy your holiday in Cornwall!
If you’re holidaying here, I hope you have a lovely time too.
